Every decent dog owner adores their pet, but even the best-behaved dogs can be vexing when they want to be, from barking for food to whining for the tenth time in a row. However, it has been discovered that a dog’s bark can sometimes save a person’s life.
Of course, there are security dogs who bark to protect our homes, police dogs who can sniff out contraband, and trained rescue dogs that can find survivors in the aftermath of tragedies. But this story, about a normal dog with a big heart, is unique and will warm your heart.
This life-saving dog named Keola initially irritated her family with her barking, but it was later discovered that she was maybe attempting to save her owner’s life. Alhanna Butler of Doncaster, South Yorkshire, U.K., was expecting, and when Keola continued to bark at her, she went to the clinic and was diagnosed just in time.
Alhanna’s sickness was so uncommon that doctors had to create a new medicine to treat the bug, which they had never seen before. In any case, this 2016 story demonstrates how much dogs understand about us and how beautifully they can assist us at significant life milestones.
It remains to be known whether Keola genuinely could sense something was amiss, but Alhanna and husband Ricky Butler are certain of her extraordinary skill, which appears to rival that of many trained doctors.
Alhanna recognizes that her dog Keola has a keen intuitive awareness of things, so much so that Keola saved her life! According to the Mirror, Keola is an Akita who appeared to help Alhanna realize that her pregnancy problems were more serious than physicians had initially imagined.
When Alhanna, then 21, became pregnant, it was Keola who helped her figure it out by bringing her the negative test she had thrown away. When Alhanna looked closer, she noticed a small line and realized she was pregnant! Keola has a unique intuition that would ultimately save Alhanna’s life.
When Alhanna was 18 weeks pregnant, she began to feel nauseous more frequently. Keola would calmly wait with her near the bathroom and try to help her.
However, as time passed, Alhanna began to feel significant back pain and nausea, necessitating the attention of a hospital midwife. The midwife informed Alhanna that her petite body made the pregnancy challenging, but that she was otherwise healthy.
“It was dreadful. People thought I was being a wimp and kept telling me, ‘Oh, if you can’t manage this, how will you handle having a baby?’ But I couldn’t even walk,” Alhanna described her encounter. Keola seemed to detect that Alhanna’s uneasiness was out of the ordinary.
According to the Mirror, she would not stop sobbing and crying at Alhanna and would look at her for hours. This conduct had an impact on Alhanna, who became concerned that things weren’t as fine as the doctors had informed her.
